What we store, in plain words.
Last updated 11 September 2026. Written for the people whose data it is, not for lawyers.
What we store
Your account: name, email address, the role you chose (student, teacher, professional), and the college and batch you joined, if any.
Your work: every submission and revision, the scores and feedback each received, and the manager's notes from your portfolio defense. Voice defenses are transcribed; we keep the transcript, not the audio.
Your activity on the desk: which briefs you opened and when, time spent on each, XP, streaks, and messages you exchange with the AI manager and colleagues.
Your AI key, encrypted at rest. It is decrypted only to make requests on your behalf and is never shown to anyone, including us, in the clear.
Notes a teacher writes about your work, and whether you confirmed the college's feedback form before your certificate was issued.
The record of your consent: which version of the Terms and this page you agreed to, and when. It is stored so that both of us can show what was agreed, and you cannot edit it yourself, because a record you can edit is not a record.
Why
To run the internship: hand you briefs, review them, keep your place, and issue certificates.
To show teachers and college administrators how their batch is doing.
To improve the briefs. When many students stumble on the same line, we rewrite the line.
Nothing is used for advertising, and nothing is sold. There are no ad networks on the site.
Where it lives
The database and sign-in are on Supabase (Postgres). The site runs on Vercel. Emails go out through Brevo. Each of these is a standard, contracted provider with its own security practices.
Who can see what
You can see everything about your own internship.
If you joined through a college batch, your teacher can see your submissions, scores, feedback, revisions, activity and integrity signals, and a college administrator can see batch-level totals and at-risk lists.
Anyone with your credential link can see your name, track, role, deliverables with scores, defense mode and issue date. That is the point of a verifiable certificate.
Your wider profile page is off by default. It appears only if you switch it on in Settings, and it disappears when you switch it off.
AI processing
Your submissions, your messages to the AI manager and colleagues, and your defense answers are sent to Google's Gemini API using the key you created, so that they can be reviewed and answered. Some assistant chat may fall back to a platform key with Groq when no key is present.
Their handling of that data is governed by their terms, which is one of the reasons the key is yours and not a shared one. We do not use your work to train any model.
Analytics and cookies
We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights: page views, countries, devices and load times, in aggregate. No cookies are set for this, and identifiers such as credential codes and profile slugs are stripped from page paths before they are sent.
Signing in sets one session cookie. The desk also keeps a few small values in your browser, such as when you first opened a brief. None of it tracks you across other sites.
You will receive a joining letter when you enrol, a password reset if you ask for one, and, if you joined through a batch and never started, a reminder your teacher can send at most once every three days. There is no newsletter and no marketing list.
Your choices
Switch your public profile on or off in Settings. Replace or remove your AI key in Settings.
Delete your account and everything attached to it from Settings, yourself, without asking anyone. It happens immediately and it cannot be undone. Taking your agreement back is meant to be as easy as giving it.
If you hold a certificate, deleting your account also stops its verification link resolving. If you would rather keep the certificate checkable and remove everything else, write to aintern.tech@gmail.com from the address on the account and we will do exactly that.
Complaints, and who to write to
Anything about your data on this platform reaches a person at aintern.tech@gmail.com: what is stored about you, a correction, a deletion, or a complaint about how any of it was handled. That address is read by AIntern's founder, who is responsible for these decisions, and you will get an answer rather than a ticket number.
If you are not satisfied with the answer, say so in a reply and it will be looked at again.
Changes
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it, and you will be asked to agree again the next time you sign in. Nothing is changed quietly behind you.
